Well we had the bonfire, but it was a really cold night so we cheated and put it close to the veranda so we had shelter. We will save the dead tree out the back for another night. As you can see the marshmallows were a big hit as usual.

Bonfire cake

Sunday, 26 July 2009 by

It was my little girl’s 6th birthday recently and she’d requested a bonfire for her party, and also a bonfire cake! This was the end result. She had a ball, (which kids don’t at a party) and we went through two packets of marshmallows later by the real bonfire.

My newest little fan

Sunday, 28 June 2009 by

This is my gorgeous little nephew Joseph taking a looksie at the new book on his latest visit back to the farm. He’s a bright spark this one and just adorable. (I’m a very proud aunty can you tell.) Another future farmer no doubt, just like his daddy.

Picking rocks?

Monday, 08 June 2009 by

Definitely not picking mushrooms. No, these two little helpers are out picking up golf balls. Their dad practices hitting balls out into the back paddock and the kids love going and getting them (how long till they grow up and realise its not fun and start calling it hard work?). Hopefully we have a few years up our sleeves.

The rock

Friday, 01 May 2009 by

We took the kids up ‘the rock’ before school started again and had a picnic in the cave at the top. It’s a beautiful place to go, and in winter is amazing looking out over the green golf course which is set around the rocks. The kids love climbing over the rocks and playing through the cave and crevices. (I know I loved it as a kid…still do as a BIG kid now) Every time we go up we have to have a go at moving the boulder … dang thing still wont budge! You can see the town of Pingaring in the background … well the large CBH bins at least.

That's my boy

Friday, 27 February 2009 by

It was a glorious afternoon and we were all sitting around this beautiful shady lilac tree on the lawn having a few drinks. Blake (my three year old) was having fun climbing the tree and my Aunty Di took this photo of him. He is a boy all over and loves driving around in their buggy, although his pop had to make extensions on the pedals, so that he could reach them. Below: Their beloved buggy, with Mackenzie is taking her cousin Trent for a ride.
