Getting there

I hope everyone had a great Easter break…I know I did. Total relaxation, fishing, sitting on the beach, reading and spending time with my family. I took my laptop but didn’t get it out to write, which i’m glad as it was good to have a real break, a time out from everything.  Not that my mind didn’t stop thinking about Sarah’s Journey…my mind never stops…hey, i’m a woman! But after getting home…and over 6 loads of washing later…I got back into writing and have almost finished the new draft of Sarah’s Journey. Ali, my publisher is busy for the next few weeks with another book so I have some time up my sleeve to re-read SJ and polish it up a bit before I send it off.  Hopefully this version is a winner….holding my breath, crossing everything, mentally picturing a contract and all the rest.  So today, if I don’t have any interuptions, i’m

Grass is greener in computer age

Who needs computer games when you have other things to do outside. My kids are having a ball with the neighbours’ kids out the back in the bush. They have the hill, the fort, and they were also running around playing hide and seek in the long grass from Blake who was trying to find them in the go-kart. Where we are we never have to worry about them. They have their tracks through the bush and cubbies built everywhere. It’s the best thing for the kids and its free!

The rock

Friday, 01 May 2009 by

We took the kids up ‘the rock’ before school started again and had a picnic in the cave at the top. It’s a beautiful place to go, and in winter is amazing looking out over the green golf course which is set around the rocks. The kids love climbing over the rocks and playing through the cave and crevices. (I know I loved it as a kid…still do as a BIG kid now) Every time we go up we have to have a go at moving the boulder … dang thing still wont budge! You can see the town of Pingaring in the background … well the large CBH bins at least.

Coasting along

Friday, 20 February 2009 by

Just before school went back we managed to spend a week down on the coast at Hopetoun where we have a permanent van. Here is my Dad and brother Chad trying to catch some fish while we went swimming. My brother and his wife had come over from Albury for Christmas. My brother is in the army so I don’t get to see much of them, especially my two gorgeous nephews Trent and Jackson. So it was nice to spend some quality time together and for the cousins to get to know each other again.
