Big box of books!

Saturday, 13 June 2009 by Admin
It was very exciting to get a box full of The Family Farm. The kids thought the little bits of foam padding were much more fun and Blake likes to eat them! These copies will be going to those special people in my life who helped me on this journey.

Simple beauty

Monday, 08 June 2009 by Admin
I drove out to visit my friend Jacinta the other day and took this picture. I just like the fence and the cloudy sky and the way the road went to it. I see such beautiful things just driving around the countryside, especially when i do the mail run every Friday. I keep saying to

Picking rocks?

Monday, 08 June 2009 by Admin
Definitely not picking mushrooms. No, these two little helpers are out picking up golf balls. Their dad practices hitting balls out into the back paddock and the kids love going and getting them (how long till they grow up and realise its not fun and start calling it hard work?). Hopefully we have a few

In the Pink

Thursday, 28 May 2009 by Admin
I took a 3 1/2 hour trip to Perth to watch Pink last Friday and it was worth it. My cousin had a spare ticket which I grabbed and we were not dissapointed. Pink was amazing and her acrobatics were fantastic. Thought i’d share a couple of pics I took with you all.

Candles to the rescue

Sunday, 24 May 2009 by Admin
With all the wind and rain, of course, out went the power. But its great to light all the candles, the kids love it, and they look amazing. These ones are never ‘just for show’ as they get used a lot out here, a major necessity. Trying to cook by candlelight and do bathroom things

Wind and dust!

Saturday, 23 May 2009 by Admin
We are waiting for the rain and instead get strong winds blowing up dust everywhere. Here’s a few couple before it really turned ugly! Not happy farmers today, having to watch their paddocks be blown away to another place. Its trying to rain but the wind shifts it before it can set in. Don’t park

Mothers Day lunch

Friday, 15 May 2009 by Admin
Hope all mum’s had a great Mothers Day! To raise funds for our babysitter at our local golf club, the girls got together and put on a Mothers Day Lunch with all the trimmings. We had stalls with plants, jewellery, shoes, and had a massive cake stall and raffles. It was a great day and

The rock

Friday, 01 May 2009 by Admin
We took the kids up ‘the rock’ before school started again and had a picnic in the cave at the top. It’s a beautiful place to go, and in winter is amazing looking out over the green golf course which is set around the rocks. The kids love climbing over the rocks and playing through

Tuesday, 28 April 2009 by Admin
My hubby has been busy over the road at the CBH bin’s outloading last years grain. So busy that he couldn’t stop for lunch so we ran over some hot toasties and I took this pic of him working hard on the new Volvo loader inside the large Q type bin. He has been filling
