Big box of books!

It was very exciting to get a box full of The Family Farm.

The kids thought the little bits of foam padding were much more fun and Blake likes to eat them!

These copies will be going to those special people in my life who helped me on this journey.

Thanks! Yep, its all very exciting. I’m having my launch on Friday 3rd of July here in Pingaring. Should be a blast! xx

  4. Brilliant cover Fee and I can’t wait to read it! Congratulations. So proud of you.
Also, yes, that foam padding that comes with the books is great – made from wheat and glue – so while it’s yummy it can bind you up. Good post-curry night though. When I had a tour of the Penguin warehouse once I asked the guys about it as the place smelt so yummy – he did warn me about them so not too many for Blake!

Thanks Adele, glad your enjoying it so far. It’s nice to hear feedback, especially the good ones! It hasn’t been out long so i haven’t heard much. But next week i plan to get back into book number two now most of the publicity is over. Thanks for your comments!!

  8. Adele says:

Well I finished it…Didn’t take me long, as I couldn’t put it down lol.

I must say I found Izzy’s character sounded similar to me which made me really relate to some of the things she said/ does… although I still haven’t found my Will Timmins yet lol. I’m so glad you wrote this book, I enjoyed it enormously. Now if only some of these books could be made into movies…I’d just love to see yours on the big screen along with Rachael’s and Fleur’s.

Now any chance you can tell us more about your next book ‘The cleanest cut’? must say I’m really looking forward to this one.

Thanks Fiona for writing something that I found so real and couldn’t put down.

Now I’ll go back and read it again, cannot wait for the next one.

Hi Danni, Have your ears been burning? You wont believe the amount of times i’ve been asked “do you know her?” “Do you have her number?” by the blokes i’ve meet. Haha. All the fella’s out here think your gorgeous. (I had to tell them that you were probably a model from the city who’s never been to the bush!) It’s bizare to hear from you as we have talked about you often! Thanks for being the perfect model for the cover, you fit the bill to a T. Great to hear from you! Cheers Fee. x

  11. Danni says:

Haha how funny! That’s why I thoguht I would say hi because must be weird to have some random girl on the front cover of your book. Yes I am a city girl but I’m getting married next week to my country boy fiance!

Great to hear you are happy with the shot and good luck with it all.

Bought the book on Friday, had it read by Sunday morning – THE best book I’ve ever read and can’t wait for the next one down the track!! I love reading about the country and the tough gritty women – if only there were more aussie writers I could find like this! Thank you so much for a fantastic story :)
